here on Debian, those settings are done *after* PostgreSQL is started.
$ ls /etc/rc2.d/*{proc,post}* | sort
/etc/rc2.d/S20postgresql
/etc/rc2.d/S20procps.sh
no problem? or should I start reportbug?
