"Failed to connect to the database" error

All,

I am having a problem finishing the installation of postgresql.
Everything works fine until "Activating the Procedual Language..."
then a dialog with en error message pops up saying that "Failed to
connect to the database, Procedual language is installed but not
activated", then the installation seems to be continuing and finally
there are two other error dialog poping up saying "Fail to connect to
the database because the server is stopped abnormally before...".

I tried on several machine and all have the same problem, so just
wonder any one has any clue how get that solved.
