Hi,
A (possibly) simple solution to the problems people seem to be having
with the variety of incompatibilities between the various ORBs out there
might be to simply produce a version for whatever ORB you like -- but publish
the IDL interfaces and let people know enough of the background information
so that if they want to use a different ORB than the 'baseline'
implementation, this is the interface that they have to code to.
That way, -you- (whoever you are) who implement the PostgreSQL/CORBA
interface can only do it for your ORB of choice, and others can make the
appropriate interfaces for their ORBs -- and make them available for the rest
of us, hopefully....
Brendan
