I have a similar problem, i think it worked with previous postrgesql versions (6.4.x)
when i typed:

[marn(at)mi marn]$ createdb pr
[marn(at)mi marn]$ psql pr

CREATE

ERROR: nodeRead: Bad type 0
pr=> vacuum;
ERROR: nodeRead: Bad type 0
pr=> drop view "Jzyk obcy1";
ERROR: nodeRead: Bad type 0

note that the name of the view contains a space and a national character
there is no problem with:

[marn(at)mi marn]$ createdb pr
[marn(at)mi marn]$ psql pr
