According to the FAQ, the database can be of any size. Yesterday the cron job
updated one of my databases that grew beyond 2 GB and hung. I went into psql
and issued \d to check the list of tables (approx. 5000 tables and 5000 indices)
and it was also hung. What went wrong and what is the solution? Will migration
to 6.5.1 alleviate this problem?

I am running PostgreSQL 6.4.0 on sparc-sun-solaris2.7.

TIA.
Nisai
