Lists: pgsql-announce

Hello!

We would like to inform you that we are making some changes to how you will be receiving email from the pgsql-announce(at)lists(dot)postgresql(dot)org mailing list.

Previously, a subscription to this list would deliver all email on it, regardless of sender and content, based on the postgresql.org moderation policies. With this change, you can now adjust your subscription to indicate which types of announcements you are interested in. You can control this by subscribing to specific topic “tags,” for example, PostgreSQL project news, or news from related projects. Each email will be given one or more tags, and you will receive every email having at least one tag you are subscribed to. These tags are the same as the ones used to filter news on www.postgresql.org.

If you do nothing, you will automatically remain subscribed to all tags, and keep receiving all email.

If you wish to change this, you can visit your subscription page, choose to edit your pgsql-announce subscription, and decide which tags to be subscribed to. You can manage your subscription at [https://lists.postgresql.org/manage/](https://lists.postgresql.org/manage/).

With this change, all posts to this list will also be sent through the www.postgresql.org news system, which both delivers emails and ensures they do not contain tracking beacons, etc. If you are someone who sends email to pgsql-announce, please see the [wiki page](https://wiki.postgresql.org/wiki/NewAnnounceProcessSeptember2020) for more details.
