The status of this is quite unclear to me:
- There are two email threads and the most recent email is in the original one (https://www.postgresql.org/message-id/flat/CANP8+jKitBSrB7oTgT9CY2i1ObfOt36z0XMraQc+Xrz8QB0nXA(at)mail(dot)gmail(dot)com/) I think the status should be set to "Waiting for Author" but it was reset to "Needs review" by Pavan on 06/19/2018 (based on the second email thread?)
- The patch was reverted in https://git.postgresql.org/gitweb/?p=postgresql.git;a=commitdiff;h=08ea7a2291db21a618d19d612c8060cda68f1892
