Why not first try the downloads page on PostgreSQL itself: http://www.postgresql.org/download/ ; these builds have most of the dependencies built in, and are a good starting point.
Many of us, ultimately, do our own builds to serve specific purposes, but there's no reason to start your explorations with PostgreSQL there...
