Lists: pgsql-pkg-yum

Hi,

Pushed Fedora 42 packages yesterday. My tests are good so far and
switched to Fedora 42 on my laptop yesterday.

For the first time I also kept a list of the known issues:

https://yum.postgresql.org/news/fedora-42-packages-released/

The most notable one is the first item: Upstream started to
obsolete/replace PGDG packages by using the same name. I objected it in
the past, but... To tackle this problem, pushed a new repo RPM today
which sets the PGDG repo priority to 1 (highest). That overrides
upstream repo. It makes sense because our repo is a "3rd party" repo and
we should be able to override OS packages anyway. This currently only
affects PostgreSQL 16 as Fedora 42 ships that version.

Let me know if you encounter any issues to the new issue tracker:

https://github.com/pgdg-packaging/pgdg-rpms/issues/

Thanks!

Regards,
