I'm running postgresl-9.6 and postgis2_96 on Centos 7.3.1611. The
system runs yum-cron, so updates automatically. Today I couldn't find
shp2pgsql.
[rmiller(at)shdev ~]$ which shp2pgsql
/usr/bin/which: no shp2pgsql in

/var/lib/alternatives/postgis-shp2pgsql
[rmiller(at)shdev ~]$ file /usr/bin/shp2pgsql
/usr/bin/shp2pgsql: broken symbolic link to
