Hi ,
how do you start Postgres
I start it with the following options and can see more in my logfile:
--> postmaster -i -s -o "-F -o /var/log/posrgres.log" $
the parameters in "" are opteion of the backend.
-o /../../ tells the backend the path to the logfile
Note: the logfile must be writable for Postgres dba user!!!
