VSSOD is a fast growing startup in enterprise SaaS application space. Out
Multi-Channel Insight Apps bring a portfolio of Cloud based SaaS
applications that will optimize customer investments across the finished
goods supply chain and the channel partner network. Leveraging our proven
integration with customer back-end transactional systems, harmonized channel
inventory & point of sale data, and market sentiment data, these apps will
provide decision support and actionable analytics to optimize finished goods
investment and channel effectiveness.

Position: PostgreSQL Engineer

Job Description: Database designer and developer, Large data, Enterprise
Apps

Location: San Jose/Sunnyvale area, CA.

Our Environment:

Technology Stack: Java, PostgreSQL, Flex, ActionScript, JSON, RMI with
Linux, Apache, Tomcat

Deployment environment: Amazon AWS - EC2, EBS, S3

You:

Have a passion for the intersection of analytics, data and enterprise.
building rock-solid, enterprise-class, web-based software products that turn
large data into for decision support and actionable insights. plus a
learning aptitude and a can-do attitude.

This is a key role in the product development team. You bring solid skills
in data architecture and understand the impact of great database model and
processes on overall product performance, adaptability and success. You love
the challenge of building a complex and industrial-strength database with
high availability, high reliability and high security architecture from
ground up... strive to stay current on technology, open to new ideas and
grow with new challenges... and stay on to finish the job!

Technical Skills:

. Overall 5-7+ years' work experience with at least 3+ years solid
in DB modeling and programming

. Strong skills in data modeling, transaction and query design and
development, CTE, views, materialized views, stored procedures and triggers

. Strong skills in performance measurement and tuning -
instrumenting and profiling

. Good skills in database configuration, replication, backup and
recovery setup

. Good skills in working with version control

. Experience in working in Java-based projects using JDBC and
Distributed Caching

. Exposure to languages such as R and Python is a plus

. MSCS is a plus
