We are the group of students from Uruguay that wrote to you on the 15th December, 2000 asking if Postgre can run on Windows 98 (in order to find a suitable DB to our project). This mail is just to thanks you for your help and to let you know some problems we had when we started using it:
The PGGuardian showed us this error message: "04/30/2001 is not a valid date", may be it is because we use dd/mm/yyyy format for it. We have to do a restart in order to start the DB (it doesn't do it automatically), it can be a consecuence of the date problem. We made some .bat to make it work. Despite of all that the DB is working OK and we are very happy with the results.
We hope this can be usefull to you. Thanks again and sorry for not writing sooner
