Hello,
I sent a message earlier asking for help configuring the psql libraries
so I can compile programs. I'm still having trouble, but I've come up
with a very sloppy way of getting around actually haveing to compile
programs with psql support for now. I am still very interested in any
information anyone can give me about getting programs to compile that
use the libpq and libpq++ libraries. I do not want to have to use this
sloppy hack for too long. If anyone knows of any documents, etc that
will help me know how to set up my environment, my gcc/g++ compilers, or
where to put the libraries, and header files I will be most grateful. So
far I have done a make install-all-headers, and set up my environment
according to the documents on the postgresql website, but still I cannot
get programs to compile. I am using gcc 2.96-85, and postgresql 7.1.3 on
Redhat 7.1 with kernel 2.4.16.
Once again, thanks in advance for any help.
Sincerely
Isaac D. Flemming
