preparable statement, one of the SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, or
DELETE.
Examples

EXEC SQL ALLOCATE DESCRIPTOR outdesc;
EXEC SQL PREPARE foo FROM :stmt;
EXEC SQL EXECUTE foo USING SQL DESCRIPTOR indesc INTO SQL DESCRIPTOR outdesc;
Compatibility
PREPARE is specified in the SQL
standard.
